Q. What is Southeastern Louisiana Giving Day?
Giving Day is the university’s 24-hour giving campaign that inspires all supporters of Southeastern from current students, to alums, to the local community and region to come together, show their Lion Pride, and provide essential funding to all areas across the university.
Q. Is there a minimum or maximum donation I can make?
Yes and no - while gifts of all sizes are encouraged, there is a minimum gift of $10. With the minimum gift being relatively low, it helps to encourage a greater number of participants.
Q. Where does my gift go?
Supporters are encouraged to designate their gifts to any area on campus they feel most passionate. If you do not wish to prioritize any specific designation, then you are encouraged to give to the “area of greatest need” where gifts will be used across the campus as needs arise.
Q. Can I give to multiple areas of the university?
Yes! To give to multiple areas of your choosing, simply open up the Gift Basket in the top right corner and add as many gifts as you'd like and check out all at once. You can also search around the Southeastern Giving Day site and add gifts to your basket as you view the various profiles - click the basket button with the 'plus' sign next to the Donate button, and your gifts will accumulate in the basket.
Q. Is my payment secure?
Completely – Southeastern’s Giving is facilitated by GiveGab, a company who has partnered with Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1 (the most stringent level of certification possible) to process all gifts.
Q. Can I use my employer's matching gifts funds?
Yes! You are strongly encouraged to take advantage of your employer's generosity to enhance the impact of your support at Southeastern!
Q. How much of my donation goes to Southeastern Louisiana University?
GiveGab retains a 3% campaign management fee from all donations. Credit Card processing fees are an additional 2.5% + $0.30 for all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). You are given the option to cover the fees and if you choose this option, 100% of your online charitable gift will go to Southeastern University. All donations are final and cannot be refunded.
